RISKAUDIT IRSN/GRS International

RISKAUDIT is the joint foundation of GRS and its French partner organization, the Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN). The International Non-Profit European Interest Association (EWIV) works with, in total, ten employees from GRS and IRSN. RISKAUDIT‘s headquarters are in Châtillon near to Paris. The chief executive is Joel Bardelay.

 

Focus of work
RISKAUDIT works on an international level to further nuclear safety. The overriding aim of this non-profit organisation is to exchange scientific knowledge and working processes for a continuing improvement with the objective to improve the safety culture. That being the case, RISKAUDIT works together with international authorities, administrative bodies and relevant task forces.

 

RISKAUDIT’s most important tasks are customer acquisition, handling contracts and coordinating projects  from the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the regulatory authorities.

 

One emphasis lies in project management and consulting the concerning authorities. Other points of focus include: preparing technical surveys for evaluation, suggesting improvements to existing facilities and the treating and disposing of nuclear waste.To support the co-operation in Eastern Europe, RISKAUDIT has offices in Kiev and Moscow, in addition to its headquarters in Paris.
