The Reactor Safety Research Division concentrates most of its manpower at our Garching offices; the work of this Division is also managed from here. The activities at Garching include i.a. the development and verification of computer programs and methods for the simulation of incidents and accidents in nuclear power plants. Other working areas are reactor safety analyses, radiation and environmental protection, and project management. The Garching offices are located on the site the research institutes on the campus of TU München, in direct vicinity of the FRM-2 research reactor.
