GRS Annual Report 2002/2003

The constant change in politics and society as well as in science and technology has always been a great challenge to us. Against the background of these changing boundary conditions with regard to the peaceful use of nuclear power and in view of the complexity of the different problems, we see ourselves faced by the task to- consolidate our specialised competence,- open up new fields of activity, and- optimise business processes.Last year, we therefore got our knowledge management system under way in order to consolidate and extend our scientific and technical competence with future challenges in view. New structures have been established at GRS to ensure that the knowledge of experienced colleagues is not lost. Knowledge maintenance has thus been generally facilitated, and in some areas it is these very structures that now make the preservation of knowledge for the first time possible at all.
