GRS Annual Report 2004/2005

The constant change in politics and society as well as the permanent development of the state of the art in science and technology represent big challenges for GRS. Against the background of the changing boundary conditions with regard to the peaceful use of nuclear power and the complexity of the issues involved, the new century faces GRS with the tasks to- expand its specialist competence,- develop new fields of work, and
- optimise its business processes.In 2003, GRS began building up a knowledge management system and continued developing it systematically in 2004. Knowledge management and - above all - information management are important tasks of the future to pass on to the next generation the know-how of all those at GRS who were involved in pioneering the peaceful use of nuclear power and to maintain and expand the scientific and technical competence of GRS in the long run.
